Bernhard Knapp studied bioinformatics in Hagenberg and Heidelberg and obtained his diploma degree in October 2006.

He finished his PhD in the lab of Prof. Schreiner at the section for biomedical computer simulation and bioinformatics (http://www.meduniwien.ac.at/msi/biosim/) in April 2009.

His research is dealing with prediction models in the area of MHC, epitope and T-cell receptor interaction.
